More Than a GameHOUT BAY UNITED FOOTBALL COMMUNITY

Hout Bay United Football Community (HBUFC) is a non-profit that uses football to unite Hout Bay and to support young people on and off the pitch. Donate or join a community tour.

Kick-off | Creating brighter futures through football

Hout Bay United Football Community (HBUFC) supports children and young people from the township communities of Hout Bay, near Cape Town. Through football, the project brings people together and creates opportunities that reach far beyond the pitch.

For young people facing difficult circumstances, a supportive community can make a lasting difference. HBUFC provides a place to belong, discover their abilities and build confidence. Through teamwork, encouragement and shared experiences, they develop skills that help them navigate life and shape their own futures.

At its heart, HBUFC is about giving children and young people the support and opportunities to believe in themselves—and see possibilities for their future.

Why It Matters

South Africa is one of the most unequal countries in the world, and that is felt in Hout Bay too. Football gives young people structure, role models and a team to belong to. A club is only as strong as the people who run it: by investing in coaches and players, we invest in every family on the sideline.
